Brands for the Heart is a bit like a dating website, only it’s for entrepreneurs who want to meet awesome graphic designers with a how to course inside. We give you the short cuts to make the right decisions about naming your business; getting clear on your message; and standing out from the competition so you can make the impact you’re intended to have in the world.
WHY DO YOU DO?
We believe in empowering Do Good entrepreneurs who want to make a profit without being greedy. It’s our vision to help hundreds of thousands of startups become world famous brands.
As for purpose, I believe when your serving the Greater Good your work is always unfolding towards greater heights.
HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR GIFT?
I’m working in my genius when I’m re-thinking a traditional business model that solves people’s needs for a higher purpose. I’m ignited when I’m listening to an entrepreneur describe their dream and stretching them to dream bigger. I’m working deep within my own purpose when I’m inspiring people to bring their visions to life, connect to the audience that’s waiting for them– because that’s exactly what a brand should do.
That’s why I developed Brands for the Heart, which is a new breed of branding agency. We’ve trimmed the fat making branding services affordable for entrepreneurs where these creative services were typically out of reach. Our platform curates brand identity experts from all over the world including Perth, San Francisco, New York, Vancouver, London and many more.
HOW DO YOU GIFT IT FORWARD?
We focus on serving the Do Good entrepreneurs in our community and helping them bring their ideas to life. We offer FREE branding and marketing tips in our weekly emails that help startups take off.
As a startup ourselves, we are focusing on building a strong foundation first so that one day we are positioned to make an even greater impact. In the future, we’d like support women in developing countries to startup businesses.
HOW DID YOU START ON YOUR GIFTED JOURNEY?
It broke my heart to see passionate entrepreneurs investing their life savings into the technical side of their business while they were communicating to the world that they were just a “mom and pop shop” with the wrong business name and me-to message. I wondered about the difference it would make if these entrepreneurs had a brand that truly reflected their worth from the beginning?
As it was, the universe inspired me to meet several Do Good entrepreneurs who needed to re-brand their business or worse change their name in the growth stage of their startup. An expense, that quite frankly, they could have avoided if they branded their business when they first started instead of buying a logo design on a website or hiring a freelance designer.
Simply put, I saw a problem that I felt a deep calling to solve, because unfortunately we live in a world where we people do judge a book by its cover.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE THE 21 YEAR OLD VERSION OF YOURSELF?
One piece of advice I would give my 21 year old self is a mindset shift. If I could go back in time, I would say: “treat every hardship and high point as a brilliant gift to learn about yourself”. Ask yourself what you have done to attract the situation into your life-especially the hardships. When you think you have learned your lesson, dig deeper and then dig deeper again. And remember, where you are is exactly where you need to be.”
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE THINKING OF BECOMING A GIFTED ENTREPRENEUR?
When you take the leap to becoming an entrepreneur you’ll have the longest To Do List in your life and you’ll be the only one to tick them off the list. So, throw away your “To do List” of projects, perfectionism and pretty things. Instead, choose just 3 focuses for the day, week and month… but here’s the key… make sure that the things you focus on are the items that will have the greatest value for your customer and for the growth of your business. Focus on what you can get done that day, week or month and deliver the value rapidly.
